The first training course on African Visionary Leadership was held in November-December 2011. The course targeted leaders in NGOs, political parties and the business sector and was developed by experts from the UK, USA and the Netherlands. The course will continue in 2012-2014.

In 2012, the Institute was also holding a course on Criteria for Analyzing the Constitution, including constitutional principles, federalism, state type and system of rule, funded by USAID. The course targeted activists and has been developed by national experts led by Prof. Ali Suleiman of the Law Faculty at the University of Khartoum.

RIGDPR also collaborates with NGOs and acts as a resource institute for those offering training courses on violence against women, democracy, voter education, women's empowerment and women in politics.

Awareness-Raising Materials

These includes materials in the form of booklets, calendars, posters and brochures. The most prominent are on combating female genital mutilation (FGM), violence against women (VAW), a Women's Empowerment series, a Women's Rights series, HIV/AIDS and reproductive health.
